Orofacial myofunctional disorders are any condition that involves oral and/or orofacial muscles in a way that interferes with normal development,growth or function of orofacial structures.

These conditions can interfere with chewing/bolus collection, swallowing, table habits, correct development of the dentition,resting posture of the tongue, speech  and orthodontics.
